Could anyone with an Aer Travel Pack 2 measure the inside of their laptop compartment?Īnd if this doesn't seem like a good fit, what would work for me? I'm flexible on budget but the Aer Travel Pack 2 Xpac at $250 USD is pretty close to the limit. Since I can't get rid of my work laptop (and I don't want an even bigger bag than the Aer Travel Pack 2) this isn't super negotiable. This fits into the dimensions of the bag but Aer claims that a 15" laptop is the maximum that will fit. Since it'll be pulling double duty, I wanted to make sure it could compress well enough to be reasonable to carry during EDC-it seems like the X-Pac version in particular compresses to be quite thin. Would prefer to have it cinched up tighter, but have to wear it lower than normal to help with the hover back. I'm also hoping to get some EDC use out of it where it will carry my 17" work laptop (necessary for my work) and use for small business travel as well. Hover backbottom of the bag feels like it’s pulling away from the back. I hope to use it as a travel bag for some urban travels in the future (things like Japan, small Europe trips) but nothing too intense. Keep in mind that it was not intended to be a lightweight day back, but something sturdy to protect your electronics on a day-to-day basis for the long run. I'm considering the Aer Travel Pack 2 as a pseudo one bag, and my introduction into nice backpacks. When empty, the Aer Tech Pack 2 weighs 3.8 pounds, which is a bit heavier than some packs of its size.
